My Amazing Clients

I asked some of my clients to share their experiences since starting personal training with me. I train people from all different backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels. My hope is that as an individual seeking personal training, their responses will help you on your own fitness journey!

Client since: April 2019

 

My reason for working out:

To gain strength and to lose fat! For once in my life I decided to choose my health and well being over highly processed foods and a sedentary lifestyle! It’s a journey and I’m all in!

 

My favorite exercise:

 

Powerlifting exercises. Barbell squats, bench press, deadlifts. Love it!

 

Biggest win since starting: 

 

Self confidence and motivation. I have always been self conscious about being out and about due to my size, now, I look for things to do, like going to the gym! Motivates me to keep going!

My favorite exercises are squats and bench press.

 

Biggest win since starting: 

 

I have always wanted to compete in a bodybuilding show, and I finally did! I won 1st place in the masters bikini category at the age of 64,

My favorite exercise:

I love using resistance bands for my shoulders.

 

Biggest win since starting:

 

My biggest win has been being able to do TRX and box squats!

My reason for working out:

 

I began working out because I began gaining quite a bit of weight, my blood pressure was high and I was dealing with chronic inflammation. I did not feel like my best self. I knew that I needed support on my quest to healthier lifestyle and Lauren was the right choice. 

My favorite exercise:

What I really enjoy are different variations of sit-ups.

Biggest win since starting:

 

I feel stronger and I know my health is improving. I use to take 4 to 5 different medications and now I only take one. I think that is my biggest win thus far.

My reason for working out:

 

In the beginning, I just wanted to feel better and exercise has always helped with my mental health and overall disposition. Now being about a year and a half into training as a powerlifter, feeling better is still a major reason for my continued exercise, but I also strive to gain strength and refine my lifting technique.

 

My favorite exercise:

 

I like exercises that challenge me, like floor seated overhead press. I hate this exercise it's so hard and it requires my upper body (specifically shoulders), my core, and so much control. It's difficult and it sucks, but it's great.

 

Biggest win since starting:

 

I have two big wins that have happened since starting my exercise program, the first is my most recent max on bench. I got 130 lbs. which is so far beyond what I could do when I started and what I imagined I was capable of. The second win is my ability to squat again. At the beginning of my training I started to have some back issues and wasn't able to train deadlift or squat. Recently, I am able to squat and do some single legs exercises with no pain and this is a huge success in my book.

My reason for working out:

 

To lose weight, get healthier and be more confident in my appearance.

My favorite exercise:

 

I love working with the weights; bench press, leg press, squats. I didn't realize how strong I was until we started incorporating those.

 

Biggest win since starting:

Leg raises! I couldn't do those when we first started. They still aren't the prettiest but it's definitely been a victory to be able to do those.
